Domus de Janas is a publisher that was founded in 2000. It publishes books and periodicals on Sardinia’s cultural identity and language. Until May 2018, its director was Professor Paolo Pillonca. It has published a wealth of titles, from poetry and non-fiction to works on natural history and the environment. It has numerous ongoing projects.
Domus de Janas also publishes a bimonthly, bilingual magazine entitled Làcanas, which addresses such varied topics as current events, traditions, the environment, poetry, drama, cuisine, literature, art, craftsmanship, medicine and herbs. Moreover, it publishes what amounts, issue after issue, to a bona fide encyclopaedia on the wonders of our beautiful island. The company provides consultancy on matters such as the island’s identity, its language and its popular song traditions.
